NASCAR Day 2005 Dear
fans, I am very excited not only to
kick-off the 2005 NASCAR Nextel Cup season but to be a part of a community program that
directly supports NASCAR-related charities, NASCAR
Day 2005. I’m asking you today to join me in bringing NASCAR fans together for a
common goal. As you know, NASCAR Day is an annual celebration of the NASCAR spirit. In
exchange for a $5 donation to the 2005 NASCAR Day
Designated Charities, NASCAR fans, corporations, schools and organizations across the
country may wear their NASCAR apparel to work that day. In addition, all participants will
receive a collectible 2005 NASCAR Day lapel pin for their donation. This year will be held on
Friday, May 20th, which is also the Friday of the NASCAR Nextel All Star
Challenge weekend and proceeds
raised from NASCAR Day will go to three charities: Victory Junction Gang Camp, Speedway
Children’s Charities and Speediatrics. NASCAR Day is something I
